Fraud Awareness & Reporting
Our communities have been targeted by insurance fraud schemes and predatory sober living operations that exploit vulnerable individuals for profit. These scams often target Native people with promises of housing and treatment — only to bill insurance for services never rendered while providing substandard or nonexistent care. Know the signs: unsolicited offers of free housing in exchange for insurance information, facilities that discourage contact with family, or providers that resist transparency about billing and treatment plans.
If you suspect fraud, you have the right and the power to report it. Protect yourself. Protect your community.
